Istanbul Traditional Jazz Hi-Hat Cymbals
Istanbul Traditional Jazz Hi-Hat cymbals have a clear, crisp and pronounced ‘chick’ sound with a sticking response to match, yet remain balanced and musical when played with sticks. These Hi-Hat cymbals were created to be musically dynamic and responsive with musical, dark undertones and a moderate volume level. Initially designed as Jazz Hi-Hat cymbals for maximum expressiveness, they will happily sit with almost all medium-volume musical settings (not Rock/Metal so be warned!) and with normal miking, make a superb pair of Hi-Hats for both recording and live work.

Designed as homage to the history of Istanbul Agop cymbals, the Istanbul Traditional Jazz Hi-Hat cymbals dig into the roots of cymbal making, when one type of cymbal would cover so many musical situations as popular music evolved over the 20th century. But make no mistake, whilst being born of the past, the Traditional Jazz series are very much alive for the music of the present, whether it be an acoustic trio or an amplified stage setting.
