Promark Neil Peart 747 Signature Drumsticks

The Promark Neil Peart 747 stick remains a much in-demand drumstick from Promark’s endorsee list. Sadly, Neil moved on from this life in 2020 and he will be remembered both as a ground-breaking drummer for Canadian legends, Rush, as well as a deep-thinking author/lyricist.

Each Promark signature drumstick comes from the exact specifications as required by the artist, resulting in a whole range of diverse sticks in different lengths, tip models, woods and finishes. The Promark Neil Peart stick has the same dimensions as a standard 747, with a diameter of .551″ and 16ΒΌ” in length. Neil always preferred an oak stick and his model comes from Promark’s famous ‘Shira Kashi’ oak wood (the one which used to have the little Sumo wrestler printed on the shaft.)

After over 4 decades of cosmetic changes (including a design featuring some delightful toffee-coloured nylon tips), the Promark Neil Peart 747 of today has an oval wood tip in keeping with his preference at the end of his life. If you are wondering how those changes panned out over his career, check out this short video:

Those of us of a certain age will miss Neil, very much…

All Promark drumsticks are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA at their Texas facility, to the most stringent quality controls in the industry, delivering a consistency and quality throughout every model, from the bottom of the shaft, to the end of the tip (stop it please Finbarr).
