If you don’t know what a ‘2-Up, 2-Down’ drum set configuration is, it means a set of drums with 2 rack-toms and 2 floor-toms; hence the creation of a Remo Ambassador Clear ‘2-Up, 2-Down’ ProPack set of heads. A way to save money if you need to re-skin the resonant-side of your toms – or the tops for that matter!

Note: there is no free snare drum batter head in this ProPack (why not Remo? Your loyal users know that ‘ProPack’ = free snare batter!)
Why Would You Use Clear Ambassadors?
Remo Ambassador clear drum heads are celebrated for their open, bright, and resonant sound with a distinct attack. Constructed from a single ply of 10-mil clear film, these drum heads offer a balanced blend of responsiveness and average durability, serving as the industry standard for tom resonant drum heads.
That doesn’t mean you can’t use them on the batter-side, but if you’re a heavy player using heavy sticks then they won’t last up-top. Yes, you’ve seen Dave Weckl use clear Ambassadors on the batter-side of his toms, but unless you have his level of hand technique you will dent them in the first 30 minutes! Trust us – we’ve been there! In which case, you will better advised to spend your dough on one of Remo’s phat ‘n’ cuddly Emperor or Pinstripe ProPacks.
Having said that, if you do want them on your top-side then this is the sort of thing to expect…
Clear = more ‘open’
