Promark Finesse 718 Hickory Drumsticks

Promark Finesse 718 sticks are very similar in design to the Promark Simon Phillips (707) sticks, with a diameter of .551″ and a shaft which is 16¼” in length  – though there is a difference with the clue in the name…

‘Finesse’

The design of Promark’s sticks with the ‘Finesse’ label, are described as having a “rear-weighted design” which is alleged to provide “increased force out of the playing surface”. The Promark Finesse 718 is made from hickory and is finished with a small, round wood-tip which produces more definition when playing Hi-Hats and Ride cymbals. The late Herb Brochstein (the founder of the Promark feast) left his beloved stick company in good hands, perhaps exploring innovations he would have thought up himself.
