It’s no surprise that everyone wants the most versatile accessory to ever be attached to the top of a hi hat because it’s both a ‘ching-ring’ and a wood block!
Use it to give added ‘ching’ when you step on your pedal, use it as a wood block and hit it with your stick, or both.
The frame can be made of of any wood but i like to use lighter weight woods since it’s going to add weight to your hi hat. They come with whatever kind of jingles and arrangement you’d like for a variety of sounds and the jingles are removable and replacable. The hardware is easy and complete so you can put it on and take it off in a flash. John Bonham was the inspiration for the Bon-E because he was the first drummer I saw using a ching-ring and I added the woodblock to make it totally out of this world.
