Roc-n-Soc Build-Your-Own Drum Throne

Roc-n-Soc drum thrones are the ultimate in drummer’s seating for comfort and durability. Since Roc-n-Soc started making seating for musicians in 1987, the drum industry were forced to take note and up their game in drum seat design. Thanks to Roc-n-Soc, the serious business of seating musicians comfortably and ergonomically has been revolutionised.

There is no one-size-all philosophy choosing a throne, everybody is different, everyone has a list of their own personal needs when choosing a comfortable seat. With our customisable options, we give you the complete freedom to build your own Drum Throne to suit your requirements.

All of the seat tops listed comprise of a hand-sculpted seat-cushion made of high grade foam, covered with a soft velour seating panel to prevent sweating and slipping, finished with a vinyl trim.

Motorcycle Saddle

The Motorcycle Saddle shape was a real game changer back in the day, when our only choice was round seat shapes with varying degrees of (un)comfort! The support this shape gives to the drummer is unsurpassed to this day and remains the most popular choice of seat.

Round Top

The original shape of ye thrones of old, still popular today and super-comfy thanks to Roc-n-Soc’s superior manufacturing.

Square Saddle

The square saddle design is a breakaway from the norm, and very popular with keyboard players.

‘Hugger’ Saddle

The ‘Hugger’ top is a variant of the Motorcycle Saddle style seat-top, not quite as wide but just a bit longer out front. More suited to supporting a person with a smaller frame and a  modest derrière…

Do You Need a Backrest?

Some players really feel the benefit of a backrest, so you are free to choose your seat with or without a backrest

A Good Base Makes All the Difference

There’s no point buying a decent seat top and attaching it to a lousy Base. We offer the following bases to choose from:

  • Custom Percussion seat-base – our lowest priced option, but the minimum standard we recommend for a custom seat.
  • Gibraltar seat-base – you simply cannot go wrong with one of these as a base for any quality seat top.
  • Roc-n-Soc’s Nitro Base – gas-filled height adjustment with great shock-absorbing properties.
