Promark Glenn Kotche ‘Active Wave’ Signature Drumsticks
For a drummer who has springs sticking out of his Snare Drum head, the Promark Glenn Kotche ‘Active Wave’ sticks are equally as unique in their approach the drummer who created them. Known for his work with Wilco, Kotche continues to push the boundaries of the modern drum-set with his hybrid of drums and odd percussion elements.
Let’s hear what Glenn has to say about his signature sticks…
That ‘Active Wave’ element could be a game-changer for some players out there, looking for a specialist grip in the hand.
Each Promark signature drumstick comes from the exact specifications as required by the artist and the Promark Glen Kotche stick is hickory with a diameter of *.565″ and a length of 16¾” finished with an acorn-shaped wood tip. The stick shaft is coated with Promark’s patented ‘ActiveGrip’ coating in a clear finish, which becomes slightly tacky as the stick warms in the player’s hand, preventing slippage
But the major difference can definitely be found in the countered handle, also known as ‘Active Wave’, which gives Glenn the extra options, as he explains here:
Such a versatile stick for a one-of-a-kind player!
(*Although the current diameter of the Promark Glenn Kotche stick is .565″, it did actually start out at the slightly thicker .570″ diameter.)
All Promark drumsticks are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA at their Texas facility, to the most stringent quality controls in the industry, delivering a consistency and quality throughout every model, from the bottom of the shaft, to the end of the tip (stop it please Finbarr).
