Promark Elvin Jones JZ Signature Drumsticks
Although gone since 2004, the spirit of Elvin Jones is still very much alive in the Promark Elvin Jones signature sticks. Elvin inspired so many drummers from every genre of music – not just Jazz. Bonham, Baker, Paice, Mitchell…they all tipped their hats to the greatness and unique note placement of Jones. This guy was experimenting with linear phrasing, way, way before any of those ‘worship’ players started competing with each other!

If you already love Elvin and just want his sticks, we can tell you the Promark Elvin Jones sticks are hickory with a diameter of .512″ and a length of 16″ with a long, thin neck finished with an oval-shaped wood-tip. For ‘riding’ cymbals and rolling around, these will float like a gaseous substance, lighter than air – in the right pair of hands!
