Promark Drumsticks – Japanese Shira Kashi Oak Wood Tip 5A
Do Promark make possibly, the best Oak drumsticks on the Planet? Well, judging by how many pairs we shift, our customers certainly seem to think so! Promark Oak will never be the cheapest drumsticks around, but certainly amongst the most durable. This is definitely where it gets tougher folks, being made of Japanese Shira Kashi™ Oak, known for its dense and heavy qualities, these drumsticks are exceptionally durable and usually last longer than other types of wood.
Playing-wise, expect a slightly heavier feel in your hands rewarded with excellent Ride Cymbal articulation and a solid back-beat. Oak is an extremely tight, dense grained hard wood and will take a bit more punishment than Hickory or Maple sticks though having said that, they are by no means indestructible, but they’ll take a bit more abuse than your average stick. Be warned though, Promark Japanese Oak drumsticks are not for the likes of you softies out there who like to cuddle Teddy bears – these are sticks for real blerks who like to chew on swarf and ground glass for a mid-morning snack!
