Promark Claus Hessler Signature Drumsticks
Another wonder from Germany, for a player like Claus Hessler, the Promark Claus Hessler signature stick is a match made in heaven for a man who studied with the late and one and only, Jim Chapin. With seemingly effortless independence on the drum set, Claus continues to amaze audiences at clinics and is an incredibly active educator.

As Claus explains in the video, his signature stick is not dissimilar to a Promark Rebound 5A Long with a diameter of .565″ and a length of 16½”. However, Claus’ stick has a slightly longer taper for better rebound and is finished with an acorn-shaped wood tip. The hickory stick has been treated with Promark’s patented ‘FireGrain’ heat-tempering process creating a tougher wood and is coated with Promark’s patented ‘ActiveGrip’ coating in a clear finish, which becomes slightly tacky as the stick warms in the player’s hand, preventing slippage. Not that Claus needs to worry about over-gripping his sticks seeing as he’s an expert with the Sanford Moeller method.
