Meinl Headliner HTHH1BK Hi-Hat Tambourine
A wonderful Hi-Hat tambourine from those cool German dudes at Meinl, complete with a single-row of flashy jingles! As part of the Meinl percussion Headliner series, the HTHH1BK Hi-hat tambourine adds a great-sounding percussion accessory to any drum set.
Often referred to as a ‘ching-ring’, this 5″ diameter model will mount onto the pull-rod of your Hi-Hat stand and give you the facility to make a John Bonham type of effect during your 16 minute drum solo! Ok…..maybe not….but you can always incorporate a Hi-Hat tambourine to develop your own rhythmic inflections (tastefully mind!) to your song playing skills.
Not just for pedalling, this tambourine incorporates a rubber surface to enable playing with a stick or Hot-Rod. With eight pairs of steel jingles, this makes a sound which will cut through acoustically and be loud enough to be picked up ambiently by your overheads, other stage mics or better still, a dedicated Hi-Hat microphone.
Constructed from steel, this makes it suitably strong under normal playing conditions (arm-wielding baboon visuals are not our definition of ‘normal’) and provides enough weight to ground it and stop it vibrating when you need it silent. A single wing-nut keeps it secure on your Hi-Hat’s pull-rod, so no worries about it coming loose during the gig. A well thought-out design giving the reliability associated with German products!
Believe us when we say, ‘2 + 4′ on the foot never sounded so good – for that matter, ‘1+ 2+ 3+ 4+‘ also sounds pretty damn funky!
