Meinl Gong Stand TMGS
Paiste are not the only makers of gong stands as this great Meinl gong stand proves. This frameless design stand will hang gongs up to 40” diameter at various heights, thanks to its adjustable height pole. It is possible to lower the stand so the top bar will sit at about 45” from the floor up to a maximum height of about 75”.
This Meinl gong stand has a base width of 32” supported by fixed feet which raise it about 2.5” off the ground. Gongs hang about 14” in front of the vertical back pole, so there is plenty of clearance for movement without worrying about making contact with the stand.
You can also perform your own upgrade on the gong stand’s fixed feet by removing them and replacing them with our Meinl castor upgrade. These castor wheels are easy to insert in place of the fixed feet and are super-chunky and lockable, fantastic for situations when a gong needs to be mobile.
Although the Meinl gong stand is easily adjustable, please remember to securely tighten any adjustment bolts well past finger-tight to secure against the penetrating deep vibrations gongs can produce.
