Istanbul Traditional 22″ Heavy Ride Cymbal
The Istanbul Traditional Series is extremely comprehensive and amongst its Ride cymbal line, includes a number of heavy Ride cymbal weights. History dictates Istanbul to be quite possibly, the only modern cymbal manufacturer producing cymbals which closely resemble the sound of the early Zildjian cymbals.
It would be nice to have a time-machine and be able to go back to the 1930s to visit the Zildjian brothers in America and hand-pick some heavy Ride cymbals, but we can’t! However, the sound of heavier weighted Ride cymbals is alive and kicking in the Istanbul Traditional cymbal line, with their clean and focused stick response complemented by a loud, clear and relatively dark ping. Everything you would expect and want from a heavier weighted Ride cymbal.
