Cindy Blackman plays a variety of music. Her OM cymbals, tonally, give you the vibier end of the golden era of Jazz. Focused, metallic sticking with a dark, dry wash and a thunderous crash. Great for situations which require a traditional Turkish sound.
The Istanbul Signature 15″ Cindy Blackman OM Hi-Hats feature a low, dark sound with a sloshy, mellow wash but clear chick sound. They also possess wonderfully deep notes which offer a beguiling mix of characteristics, going from their tight, closed dry response up to a plethora of fatter sounds when played with the shoulder of the stick.
