Cindy Blackman plays a variety of music. Her Mantra cymbals give you higher volume, and greater attack, while still maintaining a musical balance of warm overtones – for the more modern end of the musical spectrum. Great for situations which require greater projection and cut where a rich, dark sound is desired.
The Istanbul Signature 22″ Cindy Blackman Mantra Ride cymbal is the perfect counterpart to Cindy’s OM series cymbals. Capable of greater volume and attack, this Ride possesses a musical, well defined ping with plenty of body and rich overtones. The Bell area of the cymbal is particularly clear and pronounced. Cindy clearly wanted an alternative to her drier OM cymbals with the ability to cut with a rich, dark sound and the Mantra series is another gifted child from her unison with Istanbul Agop cymbals.
