Chalklin Small TT1 Gong Mallet
Any Chalklin gong mallet makes a great alternative to the more expensive Paiste mallets and they are available in a number of models to suit your gong size. Every Chalklin mallet has been designed with purpose and the Chalklin Small TT1 gong mallet has been specifically designed for use with ‘flat-faced gongs of indefinite pitch’, also known as ‘Tam-Tams’. Of course, this means it is perfect for playing Paiste gongs and in this particular case, it has been made for use with flat-faced gongs with diameters from 20″ and 26″.
The Chalklin Small TT1 mallet has a hollow metal shaft 31cm in length with a diameter of 17mm and is augmented by a nylon handle. The shaft meets with a 7.5cm diameter soft lamb’s wool head and is designed to produce a fast attack.
