Chalklin Extra Large TT4 Gong Mallet
Any Chalklin gong mallet makes a great alternative to the more expensive Paiste mallets and they are available in a number of models to suit your gong size. Every Chalklin mallet has been designed with purpose and the Chalklin Extra Large TT4 gong mallet has been specifically designed for use with ‘flat-faced gongs of indefinite pitch’, also known as ‘Tam-Tams’. Of course, this means it is perfect for playing Paiste gongs and in this particular case, it has been made for use with flat-faced gongs with diameters from 38″ and 50″.
The Chalklin Extra Large TT4 mallet has a hollow metal shaft 34cm in length with a diameter of 25mm and is augmented by a nylon handle. The shaft meets with a 11cm diameter soft lamb’s wool head and is designed to produce a fast attack.
