Vintage Ludwig 402 Supraphonic Snare Drum 1984
On first glance this looks like any 402 however once you start playing this it quickly becomes apparent that this snare from this period ( C; 1984)
was probably produced in Chicago. A lot of vintage friends say these shells are thinner than the later Monroe drums and have THAT KILLER SOUND!
This one leads us to believe this statement!
Ludalloy sticker inside with the original hoops & these were thinner than the modern ones too.
Lots of pitting if that bothers you. Original P85 Thro off in good order.
Puresound Super 30 wires really compliment this drum.
Cs Dot is worn but hell it sounds great!
Hazy ambassador as standard.
Snare hoop has a small but of chrome missing as pictured.
