Delivery

Which countries can ADC sell to? ADC Drums are a UK based drum store trading in pounds Sterling and currently only trade online with UK residents. However, we have sold goods to non-UK customers via non-online methods.

How do you send goods out? Depending on weight/size, we use Royal Mail or a courier service.

How long will my order take to arrive? If we process your order between Mon-Fri (excluding Bank holidays) before 2pm and all the items are in stock, we will endeavour to dispatch same day. Goods should arrive 1-2 working days after dispatch. However, we cannot guarantee the performance of third party delivery services and have no control or influence over their operating practices.

Do I need to be in to take delivery? Yes. All goods sent out by us will require a signature of delivery from the recipient.

Can you tell me what time of day I will receive delivery? Unfortunately, we cannot. Postal deliveries take place between Mon-Fri during various daytime hours, depending on your area. Courier deliveries take place between Mon-Fri 8:00am – 5:30pm. If in doubt, please opt to have your item delivered to a location where delivery can be taken throughout the day, such as a work address. Alternatively, there are timed delivery services available from our courier services, but these are extremely expensive!

Can I change my delivery address? Yes, but only before we have dispatched. We cannot redirect items sent out by Royal Mail. We can, to a point, redirect courier items that have been dispatched, but this incurs a very expensive surcharge.

I missed the postman! What happens now? If you are out when the postman tries to deliver an item that is too big to fit through your letterbox, a card will be left for you with instructions for visiting your local post depot to pick up your item. You normally have up to 1 week to collect. If you fail to collect within this time then Royal Mail will return the item to us as ‘undelivered’. Redelivery will incur a fresh charge.

I missed the courier! What happens now? If you are out when the courier tries to deliver, a card will be left for you with instructions for rearranging delivery. Redelivery must be within the same postcode or you will be liable for a surcharge from the courier. A courier will attempt to deliver 3 times in total, after which, the item will be returned to us. Redelivery will incur a fresh charge.

Can you instruct the postman or courier to leave the parcel outside? No. This is not how these services operate. They require a signature for proof of delivery. Any requests to ‘leave it around the back’ or ‘behind the bin’ will be ignored.

How much is delivery? Because of changes implemented by the Royal Mail in April 2013, we are now forced to calculate delivery costs by weight and dimension which means that a long, thin, light item (Hot Rods for instance) may well fall into a higher delivery band. Conversely, a small heavy item such as a wooden based practice pad may now fit into a lower delivery band. It's all got that little bit more complicated, but no doubt Royal Mail know best....

Our website now at least gives a shipping estimate before you check out.

Items suitable for normal post are uniform for mainland UK, non-mainland UK and Scottish Highlands addresses (excluding Channel Islands). However, items that are too large/heavy for post have to go by courier. Unfortunately, courier companies charge more for delivery to non-mainland UK addresses and Scottish Highlands postcodes, which we have to reflect in our delivery pricing. If you live in Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, any non-mainland UK location or the following Scottish postcodes - FK 17-99, G 83, IV 1-28, IV 33-39, KW, PA 21-33, PA 35-40, PH 18-26, PH 30, PH 31-41 – then courier charges will be more than standard mainland UK. If you are any in any doubt about how much delivery will be to your location please get in touch with us before ordering.
